Meet the Team

Jim Senne has over 40 years of experience in the field of heat treating and metallurgy, specializing in atmosphere heat treatment in the heavy industrial environment.  Combining his educational background in chemistry and metallurgy, with his long term experience as manager of a large captive heat treating shop, Jim brings a unique perspective to any job; one that combines the heat treater’s and the metallurgist’s point of view.  Jim’s broad, real life heat treating experience ranges from deep case carburizing and hardening of 60,000 pound steel mill pinions to FNC processing of small automotive components.  With the founding of MetalPro Resources in February of 2007, he has been consulting and selling capital equipment to the heat treating industry world-wide for the past 17 years.

A Planned History

Launched in 2007, MetalPro Resources is a small team of smart people with many years of experience in the heat treat sciences.  Each member of our team brings a different set of skills and strengths to the table — allowing us to be thorough and incredibly good at what we do…Solving Your Heat Treating Problems!

Equipment Sales

The partners at MetalPro Resources are independent sales representatives for companies that serve the thermal process industry.  We represent only the very best companies within their respective niches.  Each of us have directed large captive heat treating shops in our past and thus have experience similar to our customers.  When we make a visit to your shop, we understand your process and your needs, we ask the right questions, and we help you with a Request for Quotation to our principal that will allow them to propose just the right equipment, with the right features and capabilities to serve your purpose.

Consulting Services

MetalPro Resources offers a suite of focused Consulting Services covering heat treating operations and equipment. Our engineers have decades of experience in the planning, development, commissioning, and operation of heat treating facilities and are ready to assist you with a comprehensive evaluation of your unique situation.  Here are just a few examples of what we will do for you:
In source/outsource analysis of heat treating processes
Furnace and Oven equipment/process capability studies
Equipment relocation and layout planning
Utility cost analysis and optimization
Equipment specification development
Personnel training and Onboarding.
